Clarion Pointe Staunton East

Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Chose it for the price and wasn't expecting much but the room was nice and comfy and clean. Staff was really nice when I had an issue with my 3rd party booking. Will definitely stay again if I pass through.

Good clean value for the price, 4.0-4.2 is accurate. The pillows were weak and the air conditioner and bathroom ventilation were loud, but for the $60 price it was good. Breakfast was instant eggs and sausage circles, typically bad Choice Hotels breakfast, but there is a lot of food nearby

Standard Choice hotels experience. No complaints. Rooms are clean and as expected. Plenty of parking and it's right off the highway. Extensive breakfast selection by similar hotel standards. Fast Internet. One thing: There is an abandoned mental hospital across the street. Be sure to read about the history of that place.

Must not be a new facility as the bathroom wall has been noticable patched. Other than that, the room was nice.Was quiet and the room was spacious and well decorated. One desk chair had the armrests taped. Chair have been there a while.

Nice location in Staunton. Request room looking east at the mountains. Wow! Our view the big electric unit and back parking lot. Accessible room should be available with a nice view. I use a walker. The tub is to tall in height to access it. The 5-7 handrails are excellent in the tub and near the toilet. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Great HVAC system. Plenty of room between doorways and furnishings to use the walker. Easy to use TV. Suggestions. Lower the height of the nice mirror over the bathroom sink. To high if your in a wheelchair or short. Accessible shower.

The room was clean and all appliances worked. The hotel is in a very convenient location and the price was good. The employees were also courteous and professional. I would stay again.

This hotel could use a little renovation but when you get past that you will find spotlessly clean rooms and common areas, exceptionally helpful front desk and housekeeping staff, very comfortable bedding, an extremely well lit parking area and easy access to Interstates 81 and 64. Oh and they put out hot fresh cookies every evening! It’s slightly behind a Walmart if you need to pick up something and there’s possibly the best Chili’s ever within two miles. If passing through again I wouldn’t hesitate in staying here.

The room was small but clean. The king sized bed was very comfy and I am picky. The plug on my bathtub didn’t work so I had to use a washcloth to contain the water. But it was a nice deep tub and there was plenty of hot water. They do need to let go of the funds and just buy a new door closer for the side door so it doesn’t slam instead of putting up a sign to close slowly. That probably would have irritated me if my room were close. It’s high up on a hill with a great view of the city. Had a little fridge that was already cold. Heat and cooling controlled from within the room. The fitness center is open 24 hours. I didn’t watch tv but there was a nice flatscreen in the room. The quiet away from highways and city streets was gold! Convenient to skyline drive. I would definitely stay here again.
